PKZ Fashion from the 1930s
Animals were a favorite motif of artist Carigiet; in 1933, he used a fox in elegant sportsman’s garb, outfitted with a rifle and trademark satchel for his day of chase. Two years later in 1935 he dresses a rooster in PKZ finery so he can appropriately strut his stuff. In the course of a long career, Carigiet was a posterist, painter in oils, stage and costume designer and children’s book illustrator.
