DESCRIPTION:

One of Renault’s most unique creations, the Shooting Star was the company’s first and only attempt at a land speed record car powered by gas turbine technology.  Although production started in 1954, it wasn’t until two years later that it got a proper test run when it was brought to Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah.  It immediately broke world records, clocking in at an average speed of 191 mph.
