Animals were a favorite motif of Carigiet; in 1935, he used a rooster to sell PKZ clothes (see reference #3995) and here, two years earlier, it’s a fox in elegant sportsman’s garb, outfitted with a rifle and trademark satchel for his day of chase. In the course of a long career, Carigiet was a posterist, painter in oils, stage and costume designer and children’s book illustrator.
